Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Blurr mobile application, website, and related services ("Services"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction) to use Blurr.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and Google account credentials.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
3. User Responsibilities
Blurr is designed for respectful, anonymous expression. You agree not to:
- Use the Services for harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech.
- Share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or exploits minors.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to de-anonymize other users or collect personal information without consent.
- Upload malicious code, spam, or use automated scripts to interact with the Services.
4. Content You Create
You retain ownership of the content you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share that content solely for operating the Services.
We reserve the right to remove or moderate content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Reported content may be reviewed by our moderation team to keep the community safe.
5. Anonymous Messaging
Anonymous messaging is intended for supportive, constructive conversations. While we minimize the data collected about senders, we may retain metadata necessary to investigate abuse, comply with legal requests, or protect user safety.
You are responsible for the anonymous messages sent through the links you share. Repeated abuse can result in link throttling, feature limits, or account suspension.
6. Beta Features & Virtual Goods
- Some features may be released in beta. Functionality, limits, and availability can change without notice.
- If we offer in-app purchases or rewards, you agree that all sales are final unless required by law.
- Virtual goods have no cash value and may be revoked if your account is terminated.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on third-party providers such as Firebase and Google Sign-In. Their terms and privacy policies also apply when you use those components. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party platforms.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms, harmful behavior, or legal/regulatory reasons. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app settings or by visiting delete-account.html.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blurr and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Updates to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant updates, provide in-app or email notifications. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
