Delete Your Account
Request to delete your Blurr account and associated data
Important: This action cannot be undone
Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from Blurr. This action is irreversible.
How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to permanently delete your Blurr account and all associated data:
Open the Blurr App
Launch the Blurr mobile application on your Android or iOS device.
Navigate to Settings
Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar, then select "Settings" from the menu.
Find Account Deletion
Scroll down in the Settings page to find the "Delete Account" option.
Confirm Deletion
Read the warning message carefully, then confirm that you want to permanently delete your account. You may be asked to enter your password or use biometric authentication for security.
Account Deletion Process
Once confirmed, your account deletion request will be processed. All your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days of your request.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your Blurr account, the following data will be permanently removed:
Account Information
- • User profile and display name
- • Email address
- • User tag/ID
- • Avatar and profile settings
- • Bio and profile information
Content & Messages
- • All posts you created
- • All comments you made
- • Direct chat messages
- • Anonymous messages you received
- • Anonymous links you created
Activity Data
- • Likes and reactions
- • Notification history
- • App usage statistics
- • Device information
- • Settings and preferences
Authentication
- • Google Sign-In association
- • Authentication tokens
- • Session data
- • Biometric settings
Data That May Be Retained
For legal and operational purposes, some data may be retained for a limited period:
- Backup copies: Deleted data may exist in backups for up to 90 days before being permanently removed
- Legal requirements: We may retain certain information if required by law or for legal proceedings
- Aggregated data: Anonymous, aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained
- Content in other users' accounts: Comments you made on other users' posts will remain, but will be anonymized
Data Retention Period
After you request account deletion, your data will be:
- Immediately: Your account will be marked for deletion and you will no longer be able to log in
- Within 7 days: Most of your personal data will be removed from active systems
- Within 30 days: All remaining data, including backups, will be permanently deleted
- After 90 days: Any remaining backup copies will be purged
